Investing in African Communities: Our Recent Grants

We’re excited to announce our most recent grants totaling $200,610 to African community-based organizations supporting vulnerable children and families. This grant award period includes twenty grants in four African countries and one grant made to a US organization to support African organizations responding to the Ebola crisis. Thirteen of these grants support holistic programs for children and families, six support education efforts, and two support livelihood programs. SAWA is making it happen by establishing early childhood development centers in the Maasai community. Fund: Her Village Venture is a Success

Wow. We have the best community! Last Friday, Fund: Her Village Venture closed with $15,000 for women in Malawi to launch small businesses and keep girls in school. It was a big success thanks to all of you. Now 100 women in Malawi are preparing to start their new business ventures.
